Sunday
Morning Service at 10:00
This
is a highlight
of portions
from a typical Sunday morning at New Hope If you plan on attending,
these insights will prepare you for the way we worship God on
Sundays at 10 a.m. These pages cover a lot information. There are
also connections for YouTube, iPod or Cyberears and Facebook. Secure
online giving is also available through our site.

After you read this
page you will know what to
expect when you visit us. Please browse our website to learn
more about New Hope and our encouraging people. If you have specific
questions please use our contact page. Spammers often bomb our
"info" email address so a phone call is often the best method
of directly contacting us. The church office number is
941-488-8051. If we are out when you call someone will reply as soon
as possible. We believe that the search for a church can be
difficult; but it is an honorable search. We are not a perfect
church, but we promise to be available for those seeking God's
leadership through Jesus. |
Communion Each Sunday
Communion is open to
everyone who believes Jesus Christ is God’s Son.
Children & Youth
We are consistently working to
provide meaningful Christian Education for children and young
people. Each teacher and assistant has been through an application
and interview process that includes a background check. The information below builds from nursery-age and finishes
with our high school age programs.
|
 |
Nursery
-- infants - age 2 -- is located immediately adjacent to
the Auditorium. It consists of an infant and a toddler room.
Elevate
-- preschoolers age 3 - 5 -- is education and worship for
younger children located in the classroom immediately to your left
as you enter the building from the portico.
KidMo
-- 1st - 5th graders --
honors God through an interactive, visually stimulating, kid -
friendly worship experience. It is located at the right end
of the hallway behind the kitchen.
Known --
Middle School -- meets in the classroom to the right as you
enter the building from the portico.
Students
That Encourage People (S.T.E.P.)
-- High School -- meets in the
foyer.
Here is how
attendance on a Sunday can work for you and your children:
All youth areas open at 9:45. All first time visitors should fill out an information sheet and
in a timely manner please come and pick up your children after the service concludes.
Children will not be released to anyone except those designated on
the information sheet. Because of our limited space we do not
currently use the strategy of a separate children's Sunday School
program and therefore this hour long program is our vital link in
Christian Education.

Responding to God's Call
If you come and then
have questions about being a Christian, or a member of New Hope, we
always encourage people to respond to God's leading. Our Sunday
morning worship time includes an invitation to prayer for special
needs and an opportunity to respond in following Christ. People
who are members of New Hope have made a public confession of their
faith, have been immersed into Christ, and are seeking to live the
Christ-like life each day.
|
|
Coffee Time
After 9:15 a.m. coffee is available on Sunday mornings. Please come early, share a
cup or two, and meet some of New Hope’s finest. There might even be
a donut available for the ones who arrive early.

A Musical Worship Style and a Little More Insight
Don’t worry if you can’t
find the hymnals, choir or pipe organ. There aren’t any. We have a
Praise and Worship Team with upbeat music and vocals. We blend the
best of contemporary and traditional worship music and patterns into
what we call "the New Hope style," that we believe honors God. You
will also find that we occasionally use multi-media and drama to
help drive home a point. And if you don’t want to sing, it’s okay --
true worship flows from within a person.

How
we use the Bible
Our messages have "high
carry out the door value." They are designed to encourage believers
and interested inquirers in the world of the 21st century. We
believe God actively calls His people to be involved with every
aspect of the world; and our understanding of Scripture leads us in
fulfilling this task.
Don’t
feel obligated to give an offering
If you’re new to New
Hope, we want you to figure it out. Our emphasis on tithes and offerings is for regular
attendees and members who consider New Hope to be their church home.
We say: “I give today so that others may hear.”
When
you come, consider filling out the Welcome and Registration Card.
It is a promise, no one
is going to pester you. We hope to greet you soon on a
Sunday morning. If you have particular questions please call the
church office (488-8051) and someone will reply as soon as possible.
We strive to reply to queries in 48 hours |
