Sunday
Morning Service at 10:00
This
is a highlight of portions
from a typical Sunday morning at New Hope If you plan on attending,
these insights will prepare you for the way we worship God on
Sundays at 10 a.m. This page covers a lot information. There are
also connections here for Cyberears and a Pastor's blog. Currently,
there is a string of posts on the blog to encourage disciples in
developing a cadre of "Partners for the Journey."

After you read this
page you will know what to
expect when you visit us. Please browse our website to learn
more about New Hope and our encouraging people. If you have specific
questions please use our contact page and someone will reply as soon
as we can. We believe that the search for a church can be
difficult; but it is an honorable search. We are not a perfect
church, but we promise to be available for those seeking God's
leadership through Jesus. |
Communion Each Sunday
Communion is open to
everyone who believes Jesus Christ is God’s Son.
| "Main
Street"
is the
overarching theme and name for New Hope's children's ministry.
These activities take place simultaneous to adult worship. You
will see two signs on the doors indicating entry points. The next paragraphs provide some of the
details and you're welcome to e-mail Rob
newhopeyth@yahoo.com
for
additional information. |
 |
Entryways to "Main
Street programs" are found at doorways #249 and #265. Look for the large, green street
signs on the walkway glass.
We are consistently working to
provide meaningful Christian Education for children and young
people. The information below builds from nursery-age and finishes
with middle school age programs.
The
youngest
-- Doorway #249 -- Our regular Nursery-age program
works in coordination with "Main Street Park" and "Main Street."
You should know that our Children's areas are covered by
closed circuit television monitors. Each teacher and assistant has been through an application and interview process
that includes a background check. We maintain a clean and safe
nursery.
"Main Street Park" at
doorway #249 provides an hour long program each week for
children age 3 through Kindergarten. A snack is provided each week
as well as lots of activities and instruction to peak their
interest. Main Street is also the entry point for Nursery-age
children.
"Main Street" is for 1st
Graders through 5th Grade children. It too is an hour long
interactive, visually stimulating, kid-friendly worship and
learning experience.
Sixth Grade and above -- We
encourage our middle and high school age students to participate
in the music and communion portion of congregation worship in the
auditorium. They also have an opportunity to be involved in the
"Students That Encourage People" (S.T.E.P.) group. Following communion
these students are dismissed to attend a
Bible study specifically geared to their age group that impacts
how they deal with issues at school, home, friends and the
community.
Here is how
attendance on a Sunday can work for you and your children:
All first time visitors should fill out an information sheet and
in a timely manner please come and pick up your children after the service concludes.
Children will not be released to anyone except those designated on
the information sheet. Because of our limited space we do not
currently use the strategy of a separate children's Sunday School
program and therefore this hour long program is our vital link in
Christian Education.

Responding to God's Call
If you come and then
have questions about being a Christian, or a member of New Hope, we
always encourage people to respond to God's leading. Our Sunday
morning worship time includes an invitation to prayer for special
needs and an opportunity to respond in following Christ. People
who are members of New Hope have made a public confession of their
faith, have been immersed into Christ, and are seeking to live the
Christ-like life each day.
|
|
Coffee Time
After 9 a.m. coffee is available on Sunday mornings in #265. Please come early, share a
cup or two, and meet some of New Hope’s finest. There might even be
a donut available for the ones who arrive in time.

A Musical Worship Style and a Little More Insight
Don’t worry if you can’t
find the hymnals, choir or pipe organ. There aren’t any. We have a
Praise and Worship Team with upbeat music and vocals. We blend the
best of contemporary and traditional worship music and patterns into
what we call "the New Hope style," that we believe honors God. You
will also find that we occasionally use multi-media and drama to
help drive home a point. And if you don’t want to sing, it’s okay --
true worship flows from within a person.
|
How
we use the Bible
Our messages have "high
carry out the door value." They are designed to encourage believers
and interested inquirers in the world of the 21st century. We
believe God actively calls His people to be involved with every
aspect of the world; and our understanding of Scripture leads us in
fulfilling this task.
Don’t
feel obligated to give an offering
If you’re new to New
Hope, we want you to figure it out. Our offering is for our regular
attendees and members who consider New Hope to be their church home.
We say: “I give today so that others may hear.”
When
you come, consider filling out the Welcome and Registration Card.
It is a promise, no one
is going to pester you. We’ll add your name to the Church mailing
list, unless you ask us not to, and this will give you a mailing of
“Flash Mail.” It is a monthly communication paper
that announces what’s occurring in upcoming days. We hope to
greet you soon on a Sunday morning. If you have particular questions
please call the church office (488-8051) and someone will reply as
soon as possible. We strive to reply to most queries in 48
hours. Please use the contact information page on this www site to
send us an e-mail. |
